Based on the story "Henriette Bimmelbahn" (Henriette the Train) by James Krüss, basic information is given on the topics of "Railways" and "Train Travel". The highlight of the railway museum tour is exploring inside the driver's cab of a steam locomotive.
Clear the Tracks for the Little Locomotive Detectives
Age: 1st and 2nd school year

Programme:
Outside the museum, the children learn the train "traffic lights", the signals. They are also shown how to behave at level crossings. Inside the museum, a film entitled "Zugvögel" (Migrants) is shown giving an amusing insight into the topic of "Railways".
The main emphasis of the visit is on the steam locomotives.

The programme starts with a locomotive puzzle. Then questions can be answered on the worksheet about various locomotives in the puzzle picture. The aspect of "road safety education" is dealt with outside.
